Narrator: But it had not always been this way, Kratos had once been a champion
of the gods...

Three Weeks Earlier 三个礼拜前
The Aegean Sea 爱琴海
[Kratos appears on a ship in the Aegean Sea, ready for battle]
克瑞托斯出现在爱琴海的一条船上，准备战斗，
Kratos: Foul beasts! I will send you back to the depths of Hades!!
“肮脏的畜生们！我会把你们送回哈迪斯的深渊！”
[Kratos comes across a fightened ship man]
克瑞托斯遇到了一个瑟瑟发抖的船员，
Ship Man: Stay away! Stay away from me!
船员：“离开我，从我旁边离开！”
[The ship man locks himself in a cage, he seems to fear Kratos]
船员把他自己锁在笼子里面，他看上去非常害怕克瑞托斯，
Ship Man: I know who you are Spartan! I know what youve done. Id rather die
than be saved by you.
船员：“我知道你是谁，斯巴达人！我知道你所犯下的一切，我宁可去死也不愿被你拯救！”
[Kratos tried to talk to him again, but with no luck]
克瑞托斯试图跟船员交谈，但是很显然结果一样
Ship Man: You! The Ghost of Sparta! Stay away! Stay away from me!
船员：“你！你这个斯巴达幽灵，离开我，离开我！”
[As Kratos made his way further, he encounter another ship man being shot at by
undead archers]
就在克瑞托斯往前再前进了一段的时候，他遇到了另外一个船员，船员被不死生物一箭射死，
Ship Man 2: Its.. Its you! The visions, they were real! The gods came to
me, told me that their champion will come and rescue us from the
Hydra.
船员2：“那是……是你！那些幻相，他们是真的！神来到我的跟前，告诉我他的勇士会将我们从九头蛇怪许德拉的口中拯救出来。”
[Kratos looks to the other side of the ship to see a row of undead archers
striking down ship men that are trying to take cover]
克瑞托斯看到另外一边的一条船，那上面的一些不死怪物将那些试图寻找掩护的船员们一一射死。
Ship Man 2: But your too late, were pinned down! These creatures, they came
from nowhere, the ships are all destroyed, all hope is lost
Spartan, even for you-
船员2：“但是太迟了，我们被压制了！那些东西们，他们不知从何而来，所有的船都被摧毁了，一切的希望都已经破灭了……斯巴达人，甚至是你……”
[The ship mans warning is cut short as he is killed by an arrow piercing his
skull]
船员还没来得及讲完他的警告，一支箭矢穿喉而过。
[Kratos hears the sound of women crying for help behind a tightly locked door]
克瑞托斯听到了女人的哭喊声，她们在一个紧锁着的门后面求救。
Woman: Please! Someone get us out! Find the key! Find the key!! Their
coming! No.. No!! Get us out! Get us ou-!
女人：“救命！谁来把我们弄出去，找到那把钥匙，找到它！它们来了！哦不！让我们出去！让我们出去！”
[The womans call for help is cut short as Kratos hears her dying, he makes his
way to the next ship to find the key to the door]
女人呼救的声音被某种东西切断了，克瑞托斯听出来她就快死了，他出发去临近的船上找那把钥匙。
Woman: Ahhhhhhh.... Ahhhhhhh... Aaahhhhhhaahhh.. Ahh..
女人：“啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊”
[Kratos discovers a blue glowing door on the next ship]
克瑞托斯在临近的船上找到了一个散发着蓝光的门，
Kratos: Lord Poseidon
克瑞托斯：“裂地之主波赛冬”
[Poseidon, lord of the seas appears in the glowing door with a gift for Kratos]
波赛冬，掌管海洋的神祗出现在门的里面，送给了克瑞托斯他的赐福，
Poseidon: Kratos, before you reach Athens, there is a task you must complete.
This beast is Hydra, it has terrorized my seas for far too long.
Your skills are admirable, but you will need assistance, you will
need the power of the gods.
波赛冬：“克瑞托斯，在你到达雅典城之前，这里有一个任务你必须完成。这个怪兽就是许得拉，它威胁我的海洋已经旷日持久。你的（杀人）技艺是人所倾佩的，但你还需要帮助，你将会需要神赐予的力量。”
[Kratos embraces his new power from Poseidon, known as Poseidons Rage]
克瑞托斯接受了波赛冬赐予的力量－－波赛冬的愤怒。
Poseidon: Take this weapon Kratos, take this power, and use it to defeat your
enemies.
波赛冬：拿取这武器，克瑞托斯，带上这力量，用它来击败你的敌人们。
[Poseidon bids farewell to Kratos and wishes him luck on his journey]
波赛冬给克瑞托斯赐福并且祝愿他能够完成他的使命。
Poseidon: Go with the gods Kratos, go forth, in the name of Olympus!
波赛冬：“愿诸神与你同在，克瑞托斯，继续前进吧，以奥林匹斯众神的名义！”
[As Kratos makes his way to the deck of the ship, he sees shipmen being
attacked by a Hydra]
当克瑞托斯来到甲板上的时候，他见到船员们正在被许德拉攻击，
Ship Man 3: Back, back! 退后，退后！
Ship Man 4: Get them away from me! 把那些东西从我身边赶开！
Ship Captain: Argh! 啊！
Ship Man 3: Why wont they die?! 他们为什么杀不死？！
Ship Man 4: Its the giant one, he keeps healing the others! Gaahhh!! 这是最大的一个头（许德拉），他会给其他的头治疗！
[One of the ship men is devoured by the Hydra]
其中的一个船员被许德拉吞下
Ship Captain: No.. I.. 不……我……
Ship Man 3: God... 神啊……
[The ship captain becomes frightened and runs for his life]
船长满心恐惧，打算逃跑
Ship Captain: No! Well never get out of here! Doomed, were doomed, were all
dead!!
船长：“哦不！我们将不可能离开这里！被诅咒了，这一切都被诅咒了，我们的死亡已经到来！”
[The ship captain stops and begins beging Poseidon to save him, as an even
greater Hydra rises from the sea]
船长停了下来开始向波赛冬祈祷，就在许德拉的巨头从海中升起的时候，
Ship Captain: Poseidon... Save me! 波赛冬……拯救我！
[The ship captain is consumed by the greater Hydra]
船长被九头蛇怪一口吞下
Ship Captain: Ahh, ahhhhh!! Help, help...! 啊啊啊啊阿，救命啊！
[The final ship man is devoured soon after, as was the one before him]
所有的船员都被吞了
Ship Man 3: Aaahhhh!! 啊啊啊阿！
[Kratos defeats the two Hydra spawns below and then the greater Hydra above,
and shortly after hears a call from help, but with no idea where]
克瑞托斯打败两个许德拉的蛇头，并且干掉了九头蛇怪最大的一个头，很快就听到了一个呼救的声音，但是他不知道声音从那里传出来的。
????: Help, help me! Gods help me! Ple-, Please! Im begging you, help me out
of here! 救命，救命啊！神啊，救我！我向你乞求，帮我从这里弄出来！
[Kratos proceeds down the greater Hydras throat and finds that the ship
captain is still alive, so he pulls him up by the key hanging from his neck]
克瑞托斯顺着九头蛇怪的喉咙下去，发现了船长仍然活着，他把船长拉了起了，因为后者脖子上挂着他所要的钥匙。
Ship Captain: Argh, Argh, thank you! Thank the gods you came back for me!!
船长：“啊，啊，谢谢你！感谢诸神，你终于来了！”
[Kratos pulls the captain so they are face to face] 克瑞托斯和船长面对面
Kratos: I didnt come back for you! 我不是来找你的！
[Without mercy, Kratos rips the key from the captains necklace and lets him
fall to the Hydras stomach]
毫无怜悯地，克瑞托斯将钥匙从船长脖子上一把拽下，把他一脚踹进了九头蛇的肚子里面。
Ship Captain: Noooo!! 不……！！！
[With the the captains key in hand, Kratos makes his way backed to the locked
door where the women are taking refuge]
拿到船长的钥匙之后，克瑞托斯回到那扇锁着的门旁边，那里面是那些女人的避难所。
[Kratos breaks through the door to find the women being slaughtered by undead
and without thought, Kratos viciously slices through the undead soldiers, then
looking down at those we couldnt save]
克瑞托斯踹开门，发现所有的女人都被怪物们屠杀得一干二净，几乎不用任何的思考，克瑞托斯将那些不死的怪物们撕成了碎片，接着他看到了那些地上他无法拯救的女人。
Narrator: Slaughtered like animals, the victims lay before him, a reminder of
his own past, a past he could never escape...
讲述者：“像牲口一样被残忍地屠杀，那些牺牲品就躺在他的前面，那是对于他过去所作的一切的暗喻，一个他无法逃避的过去。”
[Flashbacks of Kratos past, of when he served the God of War rush back to him]
（游戏）闪回克瑞托斯的记忆，那些他试图向神赎罪的过去，
Narrator: His only sauness was the sea. Endlessly sailing from one harbor to
the next, in service to the Gods of Olympus, all his hopes rested
with them.
讲述者：他唯一的栖息就是海洋，从一个海港向另外一个海港，永无止境的航行，为了完成诸神的服务，他所有的希望都在于诸神的宽恕。
[Kratos sits at the edge of a bed with two naked women lying next to him with
empty wine cups on the floor]
克瑞托斯坐在床沿，床上躺着两个赤裸的女人，地板上是空的酒杯。
Narrator: For no matter how much wine he consumed or how many women he took to
his bed, nothing on earth could rid him of the horrors that plagued
his mind.
讲述者：无论他灌下去多少烈酒，无论她很多少个女人上了床，所有这一切都无法赶走那折磨他的可怕噩梦。
[Kratos looks up and screams the name of the god that is watching over him]
克瑞托斯仰天长啸，他向着那冥冥中注视着他的神明呼喊。
Kratos: ATHENA!! 雅典娜！！
[On the deck of the ship, a statue of Athena comes to life]
甲板上，女神的雕像开口了。
Kratos: Ten years Athena! 十年了，雅典娜女神！
[Kratos breaks open the ships deck doors and walks toward Athena in a rage]
克瑞托斯挣开了甲板上的舱门，带着盛怒走向雅典娜女神的化身。
Kratos: I have faithfully served the gods for -ten years-.
When will you relieve me of these nightmares?
克瑞托斯：“我已经虔诚地为诸神服务了十年！什么时候你们才愿意解除我心中的梦魇？”
Athena: We request one final task of you Kratos, your greatest challenge
awaits... in Athens.
雅典娜：“我们需要你完成最后的一件使命，你最大的挑战在等着你，在雅典。”
Athena: Where even now, my brother, Ares lays siege. As we speak, Athens is
on the verge of destruction. It is the will of Ares, my great city
falls.
雅典娜：“就在此刻，我的兄弟，战神阿瑞斯正在着手围攻雅典。就在我们谈论的此刻，雅典已经濒临毁灭。阿瑞斯的意愿，就是让我保护的伟大城市沦陷。”
Athena: Zeus has forbidden the gods from waging war on each other. That is why
it must be -you-, Kratos. Only a mortal, trained by a god has a chance
at defeating Ares.
雅典娜：“宙斯禁止诸神之间的争斗，那是就是为什么选择了你的原因，克瑞托斯。只有一个凡人，一个被神训练出来的勇士，才有机会击败阿瑞斯。”
Kratos: And if I am able to do this, to kill a god, then the visions, they will
end?
克瑞托斯：“那么，如果我能够做到这点，去毁灭一个神明，那么那些记忆，那些噩梦，它们就将结束？”
Athena: Complete this final task, and the past that consumes you will be
forgiven.
雅典娜：“完成这最后的使命，那么那些桎枷着你的过去，将会被原谅。”
Athena: Have faith Kratos, the gods do not forget those who come to their aid.
雅典娜：“怀着信念，克瑞托斯，众神是不会忘记那些援助过长生者的凡人的。”
Narrator: Leaving the rotting carcass of the Hydra behind, Kratos sets sail
once more. His greatest challenge, and freedom from his growing
madness lay before him, in the ancient city... of Athens...
讲述人：离开了身后那腐烂着的九头蛇怪的尸体，克瑞托斯又再一次开始了航行。他最大的挑战，为了挣得那从疯狂边缘回头的自由，那里，那是古老的城市……在雅典 |
