      编导Kenneth Greve和作曲家Tuomas Kantelinen取材安徒生的传记（1805–1875），结合安徒生的童话作品《小美人鱼》创造一个全新的童话世界。安徒生曾参加过芭蕾舞学校，欣赏舞者的敏感性和优雅，但却因为自己的身体原因不能变成一个活跃在灯光下的灵魂舞者。
       安徒生和他笔下的小美人鱼都渴望得到他们所不能得到的东西：她想拥有一条腿，而他想自由的舞蹈。舞台剧将安徒生的人生与小美人鱼的童话结合在一起，创造了一个全新的故事。从安徒生不顺的生活经历，小美人鱼坎坷的爱情故事，体现了生存与爱情的不易。

     This visually stunning staging of The Little Mermaid combines classical ballet with contemporary dance, and the underwater world is brought to life with cutting-edge 3D technology.
     Choreographer Kenneth Greve and composer Tuomas Kantelinen have created a fairy-tale world that touches on the biography of H.C. Andersen (1805–1875). Andersen attended ballet school himself and admired the sensitivity and grace of dancers but could never create a career as a dancer himself because of his deformed body.
     Andersen and the Little Mermaid both aspire to what they could not achieve: she wants to have legs; he wants to be able to dance.
