The Afters - Ocean Wide

The Afters，这是只听曲风有些Brip-Pop风格的美国乐队，但是美国人把他们叫做Christian Rock(基督摇滚?唱诗班那种?)，Amazon上有一条顾客留言非常有意思，他说：“我买这张CD是因为他们的主唱和我老婆去同一个教堂。所以当他们发行了新专辑时我不得不买，但是听了之后才真的惊讶。不完美，但绝对的好听和感人。”

关于这个乐队的介绍并不多，因为他们并不是很出名。最早的时候Joshua Havens和Matt Fuqua两个人在得克萨斯州的一家星巴克咖啡店里为顾客唱歌，两个人都负责演唱和弹奏吉他。后来他们决定组建一个乐队，于是找来了贝斯手Brad Wigg和鼓手Marc Dodd组了个乐队起名叫Blisse。

2000年的时候他们录制了一张有6首歌的EP，这为他们赚了足够的钱来完成他们的首张专辑When the World is Wonderful的制作(此时乐队还没有与大厂牌签约，这张专辑是独立唱片)。
有意思的是后来他们发现已经有一个乐队用了Blisse这个名字，于是他们把名字改成了The Afters，继续在当地的一些俱乐部里演奏。再后来他们被唱片公司发现并且同大厂牌Epic Records签了4张专辑的合同。在Epic公司发行的第一张专辑就是今天介绍的这张2005年2月发行的I Wish We All Could Win，其中包括了一些他们自己录制的那张专辑中的几首歌曲。

有一次Joshua Havens的老婆离开他，Joshua找不到他老婆了，于是Joshua写下了专辑中的第一支单曲“Beautiful Love”。这首歌还是今年3月份开始放映的MTV台真人秀“8th and Ocean”的主题曲。但是个人还是更喜欢Until the World、Someday和Wait。
