Varda Elentári（Elbereth Gilthoniel）是被精灵们歌颂最多的维拉之一，她就是Manwë的夫人-星辰之后或者点亮星辰者.她的美丽被称为"没有语言可以形容", 也许是因为她的脸上散发着Ilúvatar的神光吧. 当精灵初次在Cuivienen湖畔苏醒时, 所见的漫天星光便是Varda的杰作.他们感谢她给世界带来光明从而在诗歌中歌颂她的事迹,这一批精灵后来被称为Eldar,意为"星之子民"
