Spancill Hill 是一首非常古老的凯尔特歌谣。据我所知好像被很多歌手翻唱过，比如：The Corrs，Brian Kenndy ，我放上的这首歌是民谣金属乐队cruachan的翻唱（乐曲结尾的那段电吉它纯数画蛇添足）。整首歌中那个优美的笛声很让人陶醉。在我看来，欧洲民谣最大的特点就是简单而又精美：不厌其烦地重复着一个旋律，男独声与男女合声的轮番交替，让人联想到凯尔特民族在青山绿水，石头碑文与古老传说中的适美生活。
我还要说明的一点就是，我是因为Cruachan才知道了这首歌，而不是因为这首歌才知道了Cruachan。我很喜欢听他们的作品，Cruachan的风格是民谣金属，而Spancill Hill是他们专辑中的另类。
