乐队名字的意义：像小说般虚构的邪恶色调（指Bullet)却不乏惹人喜爱、愉悦欢快的意境(指Valentine）
来自英国威尔士布里真德的四人金属核乐队。1998年，乐队最初以“12 Pints of my Girlfriend's Blood”命名，并致力翻唱一些Metallica和Nirvana的作品。之后，他们意识到乐队的名字太过于具体化，不能融于主流，接着将名字改为“Jeff Killed John”。随后的经济问题又改变了乐队的音乐方向以及他们最终的名字。终于到了2002年，Bullet for my valentine（致命情人）正式成立，得到了和Roadrunner唱片公司签约的机会。但这份协议最终未能达成，幸运地是，他们不久得到了Sony BMG的垂青，并签下涵盖5张专辑的合约。
这首歌出专辑《The Poinson》。
专辑分别于2005年10月3日和2006年2月14日在英国和美国上市。该专辑进入了美国billboard200的第128位；Top Heatseekers(由billboard引进的专辑周销售量榜单）的第1位，截止至2008年2月6日，单在美国就销售出375,000张。
